The Gilmore Community School fireworks are an annual tradition that brings people throughout the community together to enjoy a fun Halloween celebration with an amazing show of lights and music. It is a highlight of Halloween night in the Heights. People of all ages meet at the school in anticipation of this event, organized by our School Council. This will be an entertaining show of professional fireworks display with accompanying music on our large school field. As in past years, this event will create further community spirit and pride, while providing an opportunity to gather and meet others at the thrilling, inclusive, family-friendly event. We expect to have approximately 700 people in attendance for this community fireworks display. Before Halloween night, we will prepare and share promotional material for the fireworks event. We will include the Tourism Burnaby logo on print material shared throughout the school and in the community. Our Gilmore School Council Instagram account, @gilmorecommunityschoolcouncil, will promote the event and encourage community members to participate in our free Halloween celebration.
