Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Burnaby for the very first time!
After six incredible years on Granville Island, the Day of the Dead Market is expanding to The Amazing Brentwood Mall Plaza for a two-day cultural festival filled with music, art, food, and family fun.
This community event brings the spirit of Latin American tradition to the heart of Burnaby, offering an authentic and accessible way to experience one of the most meaningful celebrations of the year. Join us for live performances, a colourful marketplace, delicious food, and immersive cultural activities for all ages.
Enjoy performances from some of the region’s most beloved Latin music and folkloric dance groups.
Hands-On Cultural Workshops:
- Sugar Skull Decorating
Design your own colourful skull with icing, glitter, and beads while learning its symbolism.

Cut and create traditional Mexican tissue paper banners.

Craft vibrant marigolds from crepe paper, symbolic flowers said to guide spirits home.
