About Carved
Carved, part of Hulu’s popular “Huluween” lineup, tells the story of a group of survivors, including a heartbroken teenage playwright and her younger brother, who find themselves trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night. They are faced with the terrifying task of surviving a vengeful and sentient pumpkin’s relentless assault. Harding’s signature blend of dark humor, suspense, and practical effects will be on full display, making this film a standout in the horror genre. Adding to the excitement, Carved will be released on Hulu on October 21, but Vancouver audiences will have the exclusive chance to see it first, complete with a live Q&A session with Harding himself after the screening.
Carved is based on Harding’s short film of the same name, which won Hulu’s inaugural “Huluween” Film Festival in 2018. Since then, Harding has developed the full-length version alongside his writing partner Cheryl Meyer. This film, produced by WorthenBrooks as part of their first-look horror slate with Hulu Originals, boasts an impressive cast led by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, with supporting roles from Corey Fogelmanis, DJ Qualls, and Chris Elliott, among others.
